View rate and follower rate answer different questions
Select likes, comments and shares only when your source contains them. View-based engagement describes interactions relative to video views; follower-based engagement uses the account size. Repeated views can affect interpretation.
Illustrative videos: 50 interactions / 500 views = 10%; 100 / 2,000 = 5%. Mean per-video rate is 7.5%; weighted rate is 150 / 2,500 = 6%. The second video has more weight because it has more views.
Interpret the sample
A zero-view row has no valid rate. Missing shares stay unknown. Values above 100% are not clipped: inspect the metric definitions and measurement window.
Use comparable measurement ages and content types. The calculator cannot infer audience authenticity, discover trending sounds or explain moderation from counts.
